PNY, Paris

Quick update: I moved to Paris.

As excited as I was to gorge on moules frites and tarte tatin for six months, I knew I wouldn't be able to go half a year without a burger fix.

After a bit of research, I came across Paris New York.

They have three restaurants dotted around Paris.

Luckily for me (but not for my waistline), two of them are very much within walking distance of my apartment, so I've been a few more times than I care to admit.

If you head over to the Marais branch, order a pitcher of the Paris Rio (cacha├ža, pineapple juice, lime and coriander) with your meal.

Unfortunately they don't do this everywhere, but the homemade lemonade is a pretty good alternative.

Although I've also spied some serious milkshakes arriving on neighbouring tables which I very much want to get my hands on next time.

As for the food, I think that the Return of the Cowboy is the best of the lot.

Beef, cheddar, caramelised onions, bacon and BBQ sauce, with an onion ring thrown in for good measure.

They ask how you want it cooked (pink, of course), so you know that everything is fresh and that they care about what they're doing.

Great for carnivores, but maybe not for little appetites.

If chicken is more your thing, then go for the Crispy.

Panko-fried chicken with cheddar, bacon and PNY sauce.

They also have veggie options and GF buns if you're that way inclined.

Of all of the burgers I've had so far in Paris, PNY is certainly my favourite, and it even gives London a run for its money.

Come hungry and order fries on the side- they're like skinny chip shop chips and ever so delicious.
